Just as important as the look, the support that footwear can provide is vital to your child’s foot health. With manufacturing principles such strong heel counters and midfoot stabilisation, your child will be comfortable throughout the day.
As many modern styles as there are, we love the fact that Petasil still produces classic styles that simply work for everyday wear; especially for school shoes.
Petasil footwear comes in a range of width fittings, and while we may not stock all of the widths, we have the main selection (E, F, and G), so we can accommodate for the majority of foot types.
Children’s feet are constantly changing as they grow, so it’s important that you get a reliable measurement and expert advice. This is what our fitting service is about.
You have a dedicated, trained fitter who will listen to your needs and wants. They will discuss with you any foot, lower limb, and back issues that need to be considered. Further consideration is given to any medical information from a medical professional, prescription, orthotics, or splints.
We assess your child’s walking and their gait, and then measure their overall foot length, their heel to ball and their width, while considering their foot type, toe length, and instep height.
Our in-house clinic can also help children with more specific needs. Jill Ferrari runs regular clinics specialising in biomechanics and children’s foot and lower limb issues.

We have fitted many children who cannot otherwise fit into regular shoes, and those who have very specific foot requirements.
If your child has any of the following characteristics associated with their feet, we may be able to help.
Orthotics.
Flat feet (fallen arches).
High arches.
Heel spurs.

Leg length discrepancies.

We currently have school shoes, casual shoes, and boots.
We are happy to place orders on items that are in stock from our suppliers. These need to be paid for in advance together with a delivery charge applied by our suppliers of £7.00.
We allow walk-ins. However, our appointments take priority, so please be advised that you may have to wait.

Precious Soles will only accept returns and offer a full refund on any items deemed to be faulty from time of manufacture within 40 days of purchase.
